Carla Richmond Photography

I have been working with John Durant on a wonderful project.. we are interviewing photographers about photography.  We spent Wednesday afternoon with Anthony Friedkin in his studio in Santa Monica.  Friedkin is madly in love with photography.  He was so articulate and interesting…and also charming and wild.

In February, I was flown to Detroit, and given an opportunity to do what I love – to document people in their real environments.  Detroit is a magical city.  It moved me.  I witnessed so much pride and beauty in the people that we met.. and I got to work with my incredibly talented friends Andrew Smart, Nicholas Garrison and Garrett Cornelison.  I feel so grateful.  Please take a minute to watch what we captured:
